Pregnancy Clinic days — Free for all pregnant folks
Pregnant volunteers will receive a free massage session from our students in their final quarter of our professional licensing program. All sessions will be supervised by a professional LMT. Be sure to get clearance for massage from your primary care provider.
*Pregnant clients only! Please let us know how many weeks along in your pregnancy you are so we can best accommodate you. A credit card is required to reserve your spot, but you won’t be charged. Thank you!
Student Clinic is a teaching clinic in which students provide massage sessions to members of the general public under the supervision of experienced LMTs. Student Massage sessions will be provided in a classroom setting. Clients receive treatment in a semi-private space, separated by curtains for privacy — although there will be multiple students, instructors, and other clients in the same classroom space as well.
Typically, Student Clinic is offered only during students’ 4th Quarter, which runs just two seasons per year: Summer (June, July, August) and Winter (December, Janaury, February). If you don’t see any appointment times offered, check back in the months or weeks proceeding these listed (ie. May and November).
The number of appointment times will be limited, and may vary each season by the number of enrolled students. While we appreciate repeat bookings, we ask that clients book no more than 2 or 3 appointments per season, both to allow other clients to schedule and so that students may experience working with a variety of clients.
Since our student clinic is an academic requirement for graduation, we will be matching students with clients by schedule, availability, and academic needs of each student. As such, we might not able to accommodate specific requests from clients that their student therapist meet a particular gender, age, or other demographic preference. If you have specific requests or needs around the demographics of your therapist, feel free to contact us and we can refer you to a professional clinic that may be able to accommodate.
For every winter and summer season that we offer Student Clinic: appointment times will be limited, and we tend to fill up fast. We ask that you schedule no more than two or three appointments per 9-week clinic season.
Cost is $50 for a session, and will include: intake (health history paperwork + interview), 50-60 minutes of hands-on massage, post-session follow-up, and a chance to provide written feedback. Please allow at least 90 minutes for the entire experience.
