Learn techniques that will provide more effective, long-term results with less effort. Techniques will often show immediate results faster and more efficiently than more traditional methods. Techniques will include an intro to silicon cupping, kinesio tape, guasha and more. These techniques will bring new life to your practice and provide many benefits to your clients including faster healing from injuries and pain relief.
Class will be almost entirely hands-on so please bring a set of sheets & dress accordingly.

Work Smarter not Harder with Active Engagement Techniques
5 CEs / $145
(Or pay $345 to include 5 Techniques class, +8 CE)
Active engagement puts the client in control and evokes several physiological laws allowing for faster and longer-lasting results with less effort. Learn several techniques including Active Isolated Stretching, Sustained Positional Release with AET, Myofascial Balancing and more. These techniques can be combined with others including those learned in the 5 Techniques class. It is recommended but not required for these classes to be taken together.
Class will be almost entirely hands-on so please bring a set of sheets & dress accordingly.

American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED training

(Discounted to $55 with a “Work Smarter” CE class)
2-4pm for CPR/AED.
2-5pm if adding First Aid or Pediatrics.
If you need BLS please let the instructor know.
Certificates will be emailed same day.
Fun, informative class. Please dress to do CPR on the floor.

About the instructor: Laura Parker, LMT, NCBTMB
Laura graduated from National Massage Therapy Institute in Wilmington, Delaware in 2007. From there she became nationally board certified in massage as well as becoming a continuing education instructor. She teaches classes in medical massage, chronic pain, PTSD, geriatric massage, sports injuries and techniques to work smarter not harder.
Having worked in a number of therapeutic settings, Laura has developed a unique and integrated approach to wellness. She has studied a broad range of conditions and symptoms including inflammation, migraines, fibromyalgia pain, low back pain, concussions, Parkinson’s, and more. She specializes in post operative and rehabilitative care as well as chronic pain management.
She especially loves to teach while traveling, having taught in places such as Iceland, Costa Rica, Hawaii and more. In addition to teaching continuing education, Laura has worked in several schools teaching the core program. She also teaches CPR under the American Red Cross and American Heart Association as both an instructor and instructor trainer.
Laura enjoys constantly expanding her knowledge and learning new things. She enjoys sharing what she’s learned and knows that education and giving the client control over their health is the first step to wellness.
