Navigating Instructional Roles:
Exploring How to Maintain Boundaries in the Learning Environment

DATE: Sat. Feb 17, 2018
COST: $75
CE: 7

As educators, we are challenged to assess and meet the unique learning needs of a diverse student population. This requires us to go beyond effectively delivering new information or coaching skill development. It requires an understanding and skill set that allows us to protect the integrity of the broader learning experience. In this 9 am to 5 pm class for teachers, we’ll introduce Shelly Loewen’s Playground Model of Learning™ as a framework for values based teaching. We will also explore four primary instructional roles and their impact on the boundaries required to maintain both a safe and productive learning environment for students as they progress through the different phases of their education.
